The Fall Freeze is a budget-minded driving adventure through British Columbia for pre-1979 touring and sportscars. This un-scored, non-competitive event takes place entirely within the province of British Columbia and consists of approximately 1200km of driving over three days. The Fall Freeze is organized by Squamish Classic Car Adventures and West Coast Rally Association, following the BC Rally Regulations, and using straight-forward route instructions.

We’re making some changes to our usual blend of roads, friends and cars…with the 2013 Fall Freeze you can expect a few more planned stops, a few more planned meals, and more opportunities to hang out with your car-nut friends. Don’t worry! We haven’t strayed from our well-known Classic Car Adventures style, we’re just adding to experience. To confirm you’ve actually read the supp- regs, on the entry form the answer to question number three is: Front Coil-overs.

Vehicle Acceptance & Required Equipment

The Fall Freeze is open to sport, touring and classic cars from 1979 and earlier. Sorry, no trucks or motorcycles. Think you’ve got a car that fits, but doesn’t meet the requirements? Feel free to contact us, we’ve been known to expand our horizons. All vehicles must meet legal roadworthiness standards, and generally be ready for a long weekend of driving through mountains and winding roads. A pre-event tech inspection will check for the following mandatory items:

    • -  Minimum of one roadside reflective warning triangle (30cm or larger per side)
    • -  Proof of current insurance & Driver’s Licenses.
    • -  All four (4) tires in good condition, exceeding minimum tread depth.
    • -  Brakes in good condition.
    • -  Functioning headlights, tail-lights, and brake-lights.

Decal Package

As part of the event registration package, entrants will be issued with two Fall Freeze number decals – one for each side of the car. We will be using high quality removable vinyl to ensure that they will come off your car with the least amount of fuss. Cars are required to run the event decals.


The organizers of the Fall Freeze Classic Car Adventure will cover the room fee and taxes for Friday and Saturday nights at the event. Each team will receive a standard double-bed room with two occupants per room, unless otherwise requested on the entry form. Additional rooms, upgrades and special requests will be accommodated as possible, with all additional charges being the responsibility of the entrant in question. Please indicate on the entry form any specific needs you may have.

A credit card for each team will be required upon check-in at each hotel as a damage deposit, and for incidentals. The organizers will not provide damage deposit coverage for any participants of the event.


For 2013, the entry fee will cover lunch & dinner on Friday and Saturday. Participants are reminded to fill out any food allergies on their entry forms in the space provided.

Procedure for Registration

Please read the Supplementary Regulations in full, then download and complete the PDF Entry Application form. Once complete, print the form and mail it to the Registrar’s address below along with a cheque post-dated for August 1st, 2013.

Entries will be considered on a “first come, first serve” basis. Vehicles which don’t technically meet the age or type requirements are encouraged to use page two creatively. Each year we’ve allowed a few entries outside our criteria, so there is hope! DeLorean owners are encouraged to offer CCA a chance to drive it for guaranteed entry.

Classic Car Adventures Jackets – OPTIONAL

Warwick, Dave and Sue were sporting the new Classic Car Adventures jackets at Spring Thaw. They must have been a hit, as we had plenty of requests for us to make them available to participants. We were using a Stormtech BX-2 (or BX- 2W) jacket in Black, and we’ve done high-quality full thread-count embroidery on the front and back.

At this time we can only include jackets with your entry to an event, they won’t be available for purchase separately. If you miss the Fall Freeze run of jackets, the next availability will be the Thanksgiving Run where we’ll offer an optional “Run with Jacket” entry.

We’ll contact you to discuss size information, and your jackets will be ready at the registration desk for the Fall Freeze.

Cancellation Policy

In an effort to keep the entire adventure and group close-knit, we are booking hotel rooms for all participants of the event. As such, we find ourselves bound by unique cancellation issues.

Cancellation before August 15th
Cancellation of your participation in the event before August 15th will result in a full refund.

Cancellation between August 15th and September 1st
Cancellation of your participation between the dates of August 15th and September 1st will result in a $130 refund unless we can fill your hotel room with another waitlist entry. In this case we will refund your full entry. Any cancellations will be filled in the order received.

Cancellations after September 1st
Cancellation of your participation after September 1st will result a refund of $130.
